Light Up Shamley Green

We invite all villagers to take part in this "Light Up Shamley Green" event. Hans Christmas trees have kindly donated two Christmas trees for The Arbuthnot Hall and Paul Smith has kindly organised the lighting up of the tree outside the village stores.  We hope to get everyone living around the green to switch on their Christmas lights at the same time with an attempt to light up the village. Sally, our vicar will be turning on the main Christmas tree lights and then saying a few words. 

We will then walk to The Arbuthnot Hall where warm Gluhwein will be on sale along with, prosecco and white wine and soft drinks. We will be running a bbq (thanks to the cricket club) and will be selling hots dogs, hot sausages on a stick and other hot nibbles.

This is an opportunity to get as many villagers together to celebrate the start of Christmas in the heart of our community, The Arbuthnot Hall. It will also mark an end of the lock-down and new beginnings.  Please do come and join us - the more the merrier.
